The Sequoia Hospital Foundation is honored to utilize all funds raised from our 2010 events to support Women’s Integrated Health at Sequoia. Working in close integration with the hospital, the Foundation has already secured a generous $2.5 million challenge grant from the Sequoia Healthcare District to support this ambitious five year, $6.7 million effort.
Every dollar spent at this year’s events will be matched, dollar for dollar up to $2.5 million by the District, effectively doubling donor support of this exciting new project.
Opening in 2011, Sequoia Hospital’s Breast and Diagnostic Center, is the first phase of an ambitious five-year program to develop a uniquely comprehensive, integrated health program for women. The new 3,000 square-foot Breast and Diagnostic Center will be located immediately adjacent to the hospital and will feature digital mammography, stereotactic biopsy, ultrasound and bone densitometry. The center will be staffed by a dedicated mammographer, highly skilled technicians and a patient navigator who will serve as a medical advocate to help patients and their families find the health care and support network they need.
An overarching five-year effort, Women’s Integrated Health at Sequoia represents a strategic expansion of the hospital’s highly-ranked, uniquely personalized services. Sequoia already enjoys a long-history of best-in-class innovation through our award-winning Birth Center and world-class cardiovascular programs. Ultimately, Women’s Integrated Health at Sequoia will add a quality of care not currently available and will more fully address the health care needs of women along life’s full continuum.
Through centrally located services and strategic partnerships, this effort will unite advanced imaging, obstetrics, patient education, uro-gynecological care, cardiology, advanced breast surgery, radiation oncology, chemotherapy services and general women’s wellness resources.
